I've finally updated, and uploaded some new life drawings. Things have been busy since school started. I'm currently working on my final film, and oh my electives are keeping me busy. I'm taking a break from my 12 pg essay (not including works cited) for my elective to post this.
For my life drawings, I think the way I'm drawing has changed. Hopefully with my drawings now I can achieve more nuance and design in my drawings, not matter which model I am drawing. I also am enjoying what we're learning in regards to light, and shadow. I look forward to applying what I am learning in life drawing to my own paintings when I have some spare time.

(just trying out a different way of drawing)
I'm slowly updating my page. I added some new links too! :)

Kuchiki Byakuya
One of my most recent digital artworks from this summer. It is the character Byakuya from the anime/manga series Bleach. I created this as a new print for this summer's convention season.
I learned alot from working on this one. And I used Photoshop and Painter for this.
I look forward to uploading some more art from this summer very soon.
If anybody is going to FanExpo this coming weekend August 22-24, do come visit Kevin and I at table A87 in the Artist Alley / Independent Press area! We're busy preparing for it this week. So it should be exciting! We'll have poster prints, postcards, buttons, and charms on sale. So come have a look =)!!
See everybody soon!

Without further ado, here are some more artworks I did earlier on this summer. I will upload more art from the summer in coming posts. =)

New Look + Vacation + Conventions
Hi everyone, I've finally updated my blog. Not only with a new post, but a new look for it! I hope you all like. Let me know what you think~
So alot has happened since my last post which was a couple months ago until now. I've been really busy the whole time. After our school year finished with the group film and everything else, I finally had the chance to go on a vacation with my family.
So we went on a cruise to the East Caribbean and it was absolutely beautiful! So I want to share some of my pictures.
This is the beginning of our trip of our view while we left the Miami port.
Our first stop was Nassau, Bahamas. This is the Atlantis Hotel. It is really beautiful but it is really expensive to stay in. They have an indoor aquarium and beautiful sights that tourists can come view.
One of the private beaches at the Atlantis hotel. If you're staying at the hotel you can relax on their beach front. Otherwise, you can only view it..
Another view..
Next stop was St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Another pretty island with lots of shopping to be done there. Especially jewelery and valuable rocks (diamonds, tanzanite, alexandrite) ;)
The third island we visited was St. Maarten, Netherland Antilles. We went on a tour of the island, and this is a shot we took overlooking the port. You can see the cruise ships docked there. The one we stayed on was the one on the left.
One of the beaches on St. Maarten. It's really beautiful and the waters are really blue!! (Not like the black waters of Wasaga beach).
Inside the ship was really beautiful too. It is sort of like walking around a upper class luxury floating hotel at sea. According to the program that was showing on the TV about this cruise ship, each piece of the interior design and furniture was custom designed and made. There was a beautiful view of the elevators and interior from the bottom where I am in which is a lounge area.
This is the ship we stayed on for the week. It is called the Carnival Valor. The whole theme of the ship inside is about heroes. Each Carnival ship is designed with a theme. So I guess if you want a different interior experience each time you go cruising, you can go on a different Carnival ship every time =). It was also a really huge ship!
This is a shot of St. Maarten while our ship was docking early in the morning. This must be around 8-9 AM. So beautiful! I'd like to one day be able to buy my own island in the Caribbean one day (I wish)!
I'm not sure when is the next time I can ever go on a vacation again, but it is definitely a must to relax and recharge. But after a vacation ends, there is always more fun (and work) ahead!
So soon after my vacation ended, I had the chance to attend my first convention of this summer. It was Anime North!!
I had an artist alley table there along with Kevin Yan. We both had a wonderful time, with overwhelming support and had a great time! It was needless to say it was crazy busy and exhausting. All the hard work was worth it for the great experience we had! =)
Up next are some more conventions I will be attending this summer with Kevin.
They are:
Anime Expo (Los Angeles, CA) - July 3-6
Otakon (Baltimore, MD) - August 8-10
I've been super busy preparing new art and things for all these conventions in all the spare time I can get. So I will post some up soon. I will also be posting up some art I've wanted to post up for awhile but havn't had the chance to yet. So here is some new mini art I've done for conventions as a preview. =)
I hope you all like these. I will post the rest of my collection up soon. It's a great feeling to be back! =)

ImagineFX #27 + Portfolio
This past month has been a very busy and eventful one for me! For one, some of my digital artworks and a short interview with me is featured in the digital art magazine ImagineFX issue #27! This issue has a feature on manga art, so I am happy my artwork is able to be shown in this particular issue. One of my enjoyed art styles to create works in is of a manga/anime influence.
This issue has already been released in the UK (United Kingdom) for a month so far but should be out here in stores in Canada and USA now. So do check it out in your local Chapters or bookstore!
In other good news, I have been busy creating new artworks and designs specially for my portfolio. You may visit my online portfolio and view my demo reel here at this link:

For us 3rd years, we are currently applying for internships for this summer, so I figured this would be a good opportunity to create new artworks and push my design and colour work further in my portfolio.
For this portfolio, since it is very self-directed, I wanted to create works that reflect subjects I am interested in as well as show my technical skill. And of course, create artworks I would have fun making.
Fashion piques my interest. I had an enjoyable time designing and illustrating each girl in this set of 6.
Mermaids have always been a favourite pastime for me to draw. i love how gesture, elegance, and flow can be expressed in the figure of a mermaid design. Hence the creation of this set. I enjoyed working with colours in this one.
Here are some girl concept designs for my 4th year film pre-production in progress. I wanted to play with different shapes and types of personalities conveyed.
I have always been interested and drawn to the hanbok, a Korean traditional dress. I love the colours and look of it, so I took this opportunity to be able to draw it here.
And something much more different. Still working with shapes in the design, but also trying to incorporate some graphic elements in the background to compliment the character. I am inspired by artists that do this really well and are able to add more information to their character with this approach.
Creating this portfolio has been a great experience for me. From planning, researching, executing, and putting it altogether to the final pieces in the portfolio and demo reel.
